Once again the holiday movie season has arrived bringing with it a motley entourage of Hobbits, boy wizards, and teenage con-artists. There is one movie that should not go overlooked this year. The new James Bond film, "Die Another Day", premieres mid November, and this film looks to be an excellent example of what a Bond film should be. "Die Another Day" is the 20th Bond Film in forty years, making it the longest running film franchise in movie history.
James Bond is famous for his suave demeanor, high tech gadgets, and beautiful women. "Die Another Day" is no exception, as Halle Berry stars as Bond's delectable counterpart.

There are always plenty of high-tech toys in every James Bond film, usually given to Bond by Q. However, actor Desmond Llewelyn who played Q, died in a car crash in 1999. The new inventor for Bond's gadgets? None other than Monty Python's John Cleese .
American Pierce Brosnan is the latest actor to fill the role of James Bond. Many would agree he is the best 007 yet. The women are geting smarter and stronger too. Starting with Isabella Scorpuco in Golden Eye, each Bond woman has become more and more active with the secret agent, until she has become a side kick rather than garnishment. Halle Berry's character, Jinx, will prove to be no exception.
Everyone will more likely than not see the films "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" and "The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers" this holiday season, but give 007 his due. Whether you go to see "Die Another Day" for the high-tech gizmos, outrageous stunts, or the illustrious women, there is always something for everyone in a James Bond film. |
